Where these are posted and how to bid
- Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC) at purchasing.alberta.ca carries notices from Government of Alberta ministries, municipalities, school boards, health and post-secondary buyers. Anyone can read a notice. To download documents and get emailed when an addendum is posted, register a free supplier account on APC. Many buyers keep the documents on their own bidding portal; the Official posting link on each notice goes there, and you register on that portal to download and to receive addenda.
- CanadaBuys at canadabuys.canada.ca carries federal notices. We list the ones whose region of delivery or opportunity names Alberta. Federal bids need a CRA business number; depending on the solicitation you submit through SAP Ariba or by the method the notice names, which may call for a Procurement Business Number from Supplier Registration Information. The solicitation says which.
- Amendments. Buyers change closing dates, scope and answers to questions by amendment or addendum after posting. Read every one before you price; many bid forms ask you to acknowledge them, and a missed one can disqualify a bid. The posting on the source site is the record, not this page.
- Snow removal and grounds: Snow and grounds contracts typically price per hour, per event or per season, with equipment lists and response times. Check the equipment you must name and the hours you must be on call.

How this page is built
Every Monday morning we ask the workspaceAlberta server, which reads the CanadaBuys and Alberta Purchasing Connection catalogues, for open notices: every CanadaBuys notice for Alberta, the APC notices closing soonest, and APC searches for each trade's usual words. Each notice is placed by the UNSPSC (or, for some federal notices, GSIN) commodity codes the buyer gave it, not by its title, so one notice can appear in more than one category. Titles, buyers, references and codes come straight from the notices; nothing is summarized or scored.
This is not every open notice. APC lists more open notices than one request returns, so a notice coded unusually, or not matched by any search, can be missing. Search APC and CanadaBuys directly before you rule anything out. Last rebuilt Friday, October 30, 2026 at 2:51 p.m. MDT.
