Named for the men, not the journals.

An independent AI laboratory in southern Alberta.

01The name

warre & vavasour are the names on the journals.

The firm is named for the men who wrote the Warre and Vavasour journals — the original handwritten records that were the first documents our models were trained on.

That is where we learned we could walk into an archive, consume unprocessed handwritten documents and images, and hand back usable artifacts: searchable text, structured records, georeferenced maps, and cohesive stories.

02The lab

A Canadian laboratory for human-first tools.

We build for the floor, the field, the shop, the site — the work you can point at. No chatbots. No apps. Real tools, real work.

If Canadian companies are going to bid Canadian work, understand Canadian supply chains, and protect Canadian industrial capacity, then the AI layer underneath that work matters.

We are building on Cohere first, and we build with Canadian sovereignty in mind.

Canadian AI security is Canadian national security.

03The work

Four offerings, one lab.

WorkspaceAlberta — a free, read-only procurement MCP. Our marquee. The door.

AI Training & Literacy — live, on-site training that drives immediate revenue.

Adventure tourism — we find unprocessed handwriting and images in local archives and turn them into adventures worth marketing.

100 Grand — bring us your 100-grand problem.
