1. Who we are and what this covers
warre & vavasour is an independent laboratory based in southern Alberta, Canada. In this policy, “we”, “our” and “us” mean warre & vavasour. This policy covers warreandvavasour.com, enquiries sent to us, and the public tool connections offered through this website.
A separate product, client engagement or third-party service may have its own privacy notice or written agreement. That notice explains any additional handling of information for that service. This policy does not promise that every connected service stores or processes information in Canada.
2. Information we collect
Information you choose to send. When you contact us, we receive the contact details, business information and message you provide. An enquiry may include your name, email address, business name, team size and a description of the work you need help with.
The 100 Grand form prepares a draft in your email application. It does not submit the form to our server; we receive the enquiry only if you send the email. Our form event tracking records that the email draft was opened, without including the fields you typed.
Website and connection information. Our hosting, delivery, security and analytics services may process your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, referring page or website, approximate location, timestamps, interactions and diagnostic information.
Tool requests. When you or an authorised browser assistant call a WorkspaceAlberta tool, the search criteria or business profile supplied with that call are sent to the WorkspaceAlberta service to answer the request. Your assistant provider may also process the request and results under its own terms.
Keep initial enquiries and public tool requests to information needed for the task. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, confidential tender attachments or sensitive information about other people. Agree a suitable channel with us before sharing confidential project material.
3. How we use information
- Respond to enquiries, assess whether work is a fit, and provide requested support.
- Deliver tool responses and services you ask for.
- Understand how visitors find and use the website and improve its content and performance.
- Keep the website available, diagnose faults and investigate misuse.
- Maintain business records, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.
We collect, use and disclose personal information for reasonable purposes with consent, or where applicable law permits or requires it. Sending an enquiry lets us use its details to deal with that enquiry; it is not a blanket agreement to unrelated marketing. You can ask us to stop optional communications at any time.
4. Analytics, cookies and your choices
The website supports PostHog, Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Which services run depends on the site's configuration. These services help us understand visits, link clicks and performance.
- PostHog: our browser configuration disables automatic interaction capture, session recording and person profiles, and keeps its identifier in memory rather than persistent browser storage. We send selected events such as page visits, link clicks and connection-copy actions.
- Google Analytics: when enabled, it measures website usage and can use cookies and online identifiers.
- Cloudflare: provides traffic delivery and security and may provide performance analytics. Security cookies and operational logs are separate from optional browser analytics.
- Traffic logging: where our request logger is enabled, it records request metadata such as the path, browser or agent type, referring domain, approximate country, response status and query parameter names. It can use a first-party visit cookie called
jc_agent_visit, lasting up to 30 days, and send these events to PostHog.
Our site's analytics initialisation checks your browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal and skips the optional analytics it controls when either is enabled. This does not disable hosting or security logs, server-side request logging, or processing by services you choose to use.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser and use tracking protection. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the connection information needed to serve them. Please avoid putting personal or confidential information in page URLs, as URLs may appear in service logs or analytics.
6. Processing in and outside Canada
We build in Canada, but website hosting, delivery, email and analytics providers may process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States. Our default PostHog connection uses its US service. Information processed abroad may be subject to the laws and lawful access requests of those jurisdictions.

7. Retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, the work you request, and applicable legal or record-keeping obligations. Retention varies by record and service. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it non-identifying, subject to those obligations and backup processes.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and its use. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us if you believe information you sent to us has been exposed or misused.
8. Access, correction and consent
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete information we no longer need, or withdraw consent for optional processing, subject to applicable law and contractual restrictions. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will explain any limits or consequences, including if withdrawing consent prevents us from providing a requested service.
Send requests or concerns to [email protected], addressed to our privacy contact. Include enough context to locate the information, but do not send identity documents unless we agree a secure way to do so.

9. Children's privacy
This website and our business services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, services or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and change the date above. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a new use of personal information, we will provide it or seek that consent.
